The Perfect Christmas Gift

As Christmas fast approaches, the rush to find the perfect gift for the love ones on our holiday shopping list becomes a high priority on our list of things to do.  It seems the closer Christmas comes, the longer our list becomes.  Is the perfect Christmas gift on your list or is it just sitting on a coffee table or stuck up in a closet?

The perfect Christmas gift has already been sent to us and it is just waiting for us to accept it and the perfect gift is Jesus Christ.  There is not any fancy wrapping or big bow on top, but once accepted the greatest gift any person can receive  is eternity in Heaven.  Romans 5:17 – For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God sent His perfect Son to earth so we may have an everlasting relationship with Him.  Matthew 1:21 – And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins.  Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas, for without His birth we would all be condemned to hell.  We celebrate the birth of our Savior at Christmas and the gift God sent us, and it is not about what we can buy someone or what we will get in return, but Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 – For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We celebrate Jesus’ birth at Christmas and we celebrate His death and resurrection at Easter, but what about the rest of the year?  The celebration should be everyday for Jesus Christ to be in our lives, not just twice a year.  1 John 1:7 – but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.  He paid the ultimate price for each and every one us. Hebrews 5:9 – And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation.

Have you accepted the perfect gift?  Is there someone on your Christmas list that you are lead to share the perfect gift with?  Share the joy and happiness Jesus brings to our lives with others and spread the cheer all year round, not just at Christmas. So, dust of your Bible and get into the Word so you may have the perfect Christmas gift and the ability to share the perfect Christmas gift with others you meet.

The Lawless

The lawless is out there and becoming stronger every day.  With each passing moment the end times are growing nearer.  Will we see the coming of Jesus Christ in our time?  God only knows.  This country is turning its back on God and how much more will God forgive this nation before sending Jesus Christ down from Heaven upon this land.

2 Thessalonians 1:8 – taking vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

The time is upon us, for the growing number of people who don’t know God or who have turned their back on God is growing each and every day.  The unbelievers have taken God out of school, government, and courts.  When they succeeded, the schools failed and has fallen.  Government is not about the people of the nation and serving God, but about how much you can glorify yourself in selfishness.  Courts have lost the ten commandments and now instead of judging according to the Bible, they judge according to themselves.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 – Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way.  For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.

I feel the apostasy has begun, for the apostasy is the state of having rejected your religious beliefs.  This country has rejected God and his word and truths.  This nation has become  selfish and is now about pleasing one self instead of pleasing God.  The man of lawlessness will do Satan’s work to try to break peoples beliefs in God.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 – The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working with all kinds of false miracles, signs and wonders.

Who is the lawless one?  God knows exactly who and when this person will appear.  We can only septculate as to who it is and only time will tell.  Will we see the coming of Jesus?  Or will our children see the coming of Jesus?

2 Thessalonians 2:8b – The Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of His mouth and will bring him to nothing with the brightness of His coming.

Are you prepared for the coming of Jesus?   If Jesus came back tomorrow, will you be one of the people he saves from God’s wrath or will you be one of the people who will perish to the lake of  fire?

2 Thessalonians 2:10 – They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved.

The truth is Jesus Christ.  He died on the cross to pay the price of our sins, which is death.  The Bible is God’s holy word and to be applied to our lives daily.  Have you accepted Jesus into your life?  Are you living your life according to the scriptures and following Jesus every step of the way?  If you are not, you will be among the people who will perish into the lake of fire.

2 Thessalonians 2:14 – He called you to this through our gospel, so that you might obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Accept the Lord Jesus into your heart, so that you will have eternal life and live among the saints with our heavenly Father.

Do You Know Jesus?

  • Posted on October 13, 2009 at 5:09 pm

Do you know Jesus?  The man who was with God in heaven when the world was created.   The man seated at the right hand of God our Father when the plants and animals were created.  Who saw the beginning of mankind and knew he would be the Savior of the world that was just created.  John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Do you know Jesus?  The man who left his throne in heaven to come down to earth and be born of a virgin.  Matthew 1:18 – Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.  The baby who was born in a stable because there was no room in the inn. Luke 2:7 – and she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.  This innocent baby came from heaven to be our Savior and to die on the cross for our sins.

Do you know Jesus?  The perfect person to ever walk on this side of heaven showed us the way to be saved and how to enter the kingdom of heaven.  Jesus was baptized by John and when Jesus was brought up out of the waters, heaven opened for Him.  Matthew 3:16 – After Jesus was baptized, He went up immediately from the water.  The heavens suddenly opened for Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down on Him.  And there came a voice from heaven: This is My beloved Son.  I take delight in Him! Jesus wants us to follow in His footsteps and live the life He lived.  Jesus had no sins to wash away, and He was baptized according to God’s will.  We are baptized symbolically in Jesus’ name to wash away our sins, but the true way to wash away our sins is in the blood of Jesus.   Acts 2:38 – Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Do you know Jesus?  The teacher who teaches us with simple parables for us to understand what he expects of us.  The man who followed God’s law and God’s plan completely without a single flaw.  Jesus teaches us what the  greatest commandments are, to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Can you image what the world would be like now if these two simple commandments were followed by every person.  Matthew 22:37 – He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the greatest and most important commandment.  The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Do you know Jesus?  The man who was sentenced to death for no wrong doing.  The man who suffered tremendous pain and agony so that we can have a relationship with God.  Jesus died on the cross because of our sins.  This was not the end of Jesus, for God’s will was not complete.  Jesus was placed in a tomb and three days after his death, the tomb was empty.  Jesus was resurrected for the dead.  Matthew 28:6 – He is not here! For He has been resurrected, just as He said.  Come and see the place where He lay.   Jesus walked this earth for forty days after his death.  Then Jesus ascended into heaven and was seated again at the right hand of God.  Mark 16:19 – Then after speaking to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.  This is only a small part of Jesus’ life.  He teaches us many things in His word and He is still with us today, guiding us and teaching us.

Do you know Jesus?  When we die, we will be face to face with Jesus.  We will be compared to how Jesus lived his life on earth.  Does the way we live our lives come close to how He lived?  When we are down on our knees in front of our Father, will our list of sins be to long to bear? No sin is to great for Jesus as long as we repent and pray to him for forgiveness.   Is being compared to Jesus to great for us to handle?  No one on earth will ever live the perfect life Jesus lived, but it is our goal to live our lives as close to Jesus  as possible.  Yes, we will fail and yes we will still sin, but when you have Jesus in your heart,  there is nothing to great for him to handle and his blood washes away our sins and we are forgiven.

Do you know Jesus?  I know Jesus and I pray that I will continue to strengthen my relationship with him and to try to live my life as he lived on earth, for he is the only way to the Father in heaven and  I challenge you to do the same.

To Be Saved

Are you lost and looking for a purpose to your life?  Do you feel you are missing something important in your life?  If you don’t have Jesus Christ in your life, you are missing out on God’s many and wonderful blessings.  God gives us the choice to accept his Son as our Savior and to live eternity in Heaven or the choice to go to hell.  Which road are you on?  Where do you want to spend your eternity, Heaven or hell?

How do you become saved and a follower of Christ?  The answer is very simple.  Romans 10:9 – if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  You have to truly believe deep down in your heart that God sent his only son to earth to be our savior and was crucified on the cross and raised him from the dead three days later.   Romans 10:10 – With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting salvation.

Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins.  Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  The penality of our sins had to be paid according to the scriptures and if we had to pay the price for our sins, everyone would be in hell.  So God, being a loving and forgiving God, sent his Son to pay the price of our sins.  Jesus died on the cross without committing a single sin, living a perfect life, just so we can enter the kingdom of heaven and have eternal life with him.  Romans 5:9 – Much more then, having justified by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

After taking the step to be saved, you will receive the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is the way for God to talk to us and he uses the Holy Spirit to guide us through our lives.  The Holy Spirit fills our heart and soul with God’s words and commandments.  The closer you become to God the stronger the Holy Spirit will become.  To become closer to God, you must read the Bible and believe in it.  Study the Bible daily and ask God for the Holy Spirit to help you understand and live by what the Bible says.  Prayer is also an important part of becoming closer with God.  Confess your sins to God and try live your life as Jesus lived here on earth.  Follow his word and live according to what the scriptures says and pray for the Holy Spirit  to lead you.  Romans 15:13 -Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Life isn’t easy and the road to Heaven is not a smooth road, but stay strong in your faith and God will get you through whatever this world throws at you and you will have eternity in Heaven.

In the Depths of Despair

Dear Lord, I come to you tonight with a broken and heavy heart.  I don’t know what to do.  I don’t know what is wrong with me.  Something inside is building stronger with each day that passes and I’m scared.  As I try to live a life that pleases you and let go of all the anger and hurt and sin, something is there that stops me.  Something is there building my anger and making it stronger.  Oh Lord, I am yours and I am in desperate need of your help.  You are the only one who can help me.  Take this horrible feeling away from me.  Help me to be the loving and patience person you want me to be.  I am weak and I am tired of the way my life feels and you are my only hope.  My breaking point is near and my failures are continuing to build on top of the anger and the devastating feelings of being alone.  You are my only friend and the only one I can talk too.  The aggravation continues to build and it is getting to the point I can’t control it anymore.  Lord, help me to turn my life around.  Help me to reconnect with you and build a stronger relationship with you.  Help me to reconnect to my family and to build the relationship that they deserve.  They need better than what I am giving them, my failure as a parent and wife is weighing heavy upon me.  Help me to let go of the anger and get off of this road of destruction and help me to find the straight and narrow road again.  I know you are a loving God and a forgiving God, please forgive me of all my failures and help me to build a stronger relationship with you and with my family.  Lead me and guide me and help me to become the person you want me to be with your mighty hands upon me.  Take this evil out and fill the hole with you love and holy spirit.  In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen…

When you find yourself in a desperate place or time, you can find peace in knowing God is with you and watching over you.  If you are a child of God and your name is in the book of life, God will not leave you and he will not forsake you.  Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you He will not fail you or forsake  you.” God is the only friend that will not turn his back on you.  He is the only person who sees the person you are and he knows the person you can be.  He has you life already planned out, but it is up to you if you choose to live the life he has for you.  Satan will come after you as long as you are a child of God, but find peace that God has his mighty hands upon you.  When despair arrives in your life, shut satan out and turn to God, he will help you and guide you back to him.

The Road to Hell

The road to hell is full of different types of people.  It is full of people who lived a good and happy life and it is full of people who had a hard life.  I know you have heard the phrase “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”  This is true.  No matter how you live your life, if you don’t have Jesus Christ as your savior, you are headed to hell.  Whether you have had a good life or bad, without Jesus as your savior, you are going to hell.  Matthew 7:14 – “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

Take a look at your life and decide if you are on the road to hell or not. Are you on the narrow road that leads to eternity in heaven.  Luke 13:24 – “Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.”  The narrow road that leads to life is Jesus Christ.  He is the only way to enter the kingdom of heaven.  John 14:6 – “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.’”  Jesus is the only way to heaven and if you haven’t accepted him then you are on the road to hell no matter how many good deeds you have done.  It says in Mark 16:16 – “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”  You have to have faith in Jesus and believe in him.  When you become a child of Jesus’, you will see a change in your life and you will be able to hear the Holy Spirit telling you what is right and how you should live your life according to God’s will for you.

When we die, we will be standing before God seated on his throne with Jesus at his right side.  Many books will be opened.  The book of life contains all the peoples names that have accepted Jesus as savior and accepted the gift which God gave us through him.  It will list all the deeds we did in His name according to the Fathers will.  If you name is not in that book, you will not be entering heaven.  The only way to get your name in that book is to accept Jesus into you heart.  So my question to you is, are you on the narrow road or are you on the road that leads to hell?

What is Salvation?

  • Posted on June 20, 2009 at 5:19 am

Share

What is the meaning of salvation?  If you have ever been to church, you know that you need salvation to be saved and  to enter the kingdom of heaven, but what does it mean?  The definition is the act of delivering from sin or saving from evil and the state of being saved or preserved from harm.  Luke 1:77 – 79, “to give knowledge of salvation to his people by the forgiveness of their sins.  By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

We need salvation.  We must be forgiven of our sins to enter into the kingdom of heaven.  Salvation is the beginning of our protection from an eternity in hell.  If you were asked the question of where you will go after you die, would you answer heaven or hell.  Hopefully, you would answer heaven, but if you don’t have salvation and a relationship with God, then you will not enter heaven.  To obtain salvation, you are to confess you are a sinner, confess your sins to God and repent and turn away from your sins.  Romans 10:10, “for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Salvation comes from Jesus Christ.  What He did for us on the cross provided us a way to obtain salvation.  His blood shed on the cross is the price He paid for our sins and with Jesus Christ  as our savior, we can have salvation and we can enter the kingdom of heaven.  1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, “For God has destined us not for wrath but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live with him.”

How great is the salvation from God?  The almighty God who made this earth and made you and me wants to give us protection from evil and danger and protection from Satan.  Our God who wants to preserve our spirit in heaven with him for all eternity.  The greatest gift that we can ever receive is salvation from Jesus Christ and his protection for our souls.  Nothing on this earth will ever come close to being compared to the salvation Jesus is giving us and the price he paid for us.  We will fall short and we will continue to sin, but confess your sins and turn away from your sins and try to live as Jesus did,  so that he can give us the salvation we need to spend eternity with Him in heaven.  Salvation is the beginning of a long lasting relationship with God on the path he planned out for us before we were even born and the marvelous works he has prepared for us to do along the  journey to everlasting life.

Easter

Is Easter just another holiday?  There are some who view Easter as just a holiday to receive candy, chocolate and eggs.  The Easter Bunny comes and brings them lots of goodies, but do they know the true meaning behind Easter.  For all Christians, Easter in a wonderful and powerful day that we celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ.  A day that means we can have a relationship with God and we can have a place in Heaven.  Easter is the day Jesus rose from the dead.

Throughout many years, Easter has transformed from a spiritual and celebrating day to a man made holiday.  A day that every store pushes to sell more candy and baskets and toys, but fails to mention the one and only Savior.  All you see is the Easter bunny or baskets or eggs, not the true meaning of Easter, Jesus Christ, and the sacrifice he went through for our sins.  You don’t see the pain he went through so that we can be saved.  The soldiers were mocking him, beating him, and making fun of him.  “They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and after twisting some thorns into a crown, they put it on his head.  They put a reed in his right hand and knelt before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” - Matthew 27: 28-29

Jesus went through great pain for our sake.  He went through it all so God’s will could be done and that our sins can be forgiven.  You might think that this happened along time ago and your own sins didn’t put him on the cross, but they did.  My sins, your sins and every person on this earth’s sins put Jesus on the cross.  His blood paid for our past sins, future sins and generations to come sins until the time for Jesus to return to this earth again and bring his followers home.

Jesus died on the cross on what we call Good Friday.  The day he sacrificed himself for our sakes.  A man named Joseph buried Jesus in the tomb and placed a  rock over the entrance.  Pilate ordered two guards to be placed at the entrance of the tombs to make it as secure as possible to keep someone from entering the tomb and stealing Jesus’ body.  The next day, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were on their way to the tomb, a great earthquake took place and angel appeared and rolled back the great stone.  The guards froze in fear and the angel told the ladies that Jesus has raised and to go and tell his disciples.  Easter Sunday, the day our Lord was raised from the dead.  The day Jesus defeated death.  Just sit down one night and dust off the Bible and read chapter 27 of Matthew.

Take time to rethink your views on Easter.  Does bunnies and candy have priority or does Jesus have the priority.  Is getting goodies and baskets more important to you or the fact that our one and only Savior defeated death and is with us every step of the way.  Is hunting eggs more important that the price Jesus paid for our sins, so that we can have a relationship with God.  My house and my family will serve the Lord, how about you?

Inner Peace

  • Posted on March 23, 2009 at 2:08 am

Share

How do you obtain inner peace?  There is a simple answer.  Give your heart and soul to God.  It is amazing the relief and comfort God gives us when we give our life to him.  It feels like a big weight has been lifted off our shoulders.  I’m not saying life will be perfect, but our heart will be relieved of the worries and daily frustration of problems we face everyday.  Philippians 4:7 – And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Do you worry a lot?  Do you feel nothing is going your way and the worries of tomorrow is pulling you down? “So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own.  Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Jesus tells us not to worry.  He makes it clear in Matthew that God will take care of us as he takes care of the flowers and animals.  This does not mean he will give us everything we wish for, but he does gives us our needs and he gives us the tool we need to do his will.  Faith in the Lord is a step toward inner peace and releasing all the worries of tomorrow.

Do you feel you have to be in control of every situation?  The reality is, God is the one in control and not you.  He knows our past, present and our future.  Accept God being in control and just take the leap of faith toward a happier and peaceful you.

God blesses us each and every day.  He opens doors for us and leads us toward Him.  Do you have the faith in him to follow his will and receive inner peace, or do you follow your own will?  Inner peace is easily obtained when you have God first and you follow God’s will for your life each and every day.  God will take all the worries away and give you the inner peace you are searching for, but you must first accept him and let go of worldly things and be totally faithful to him.

Drifting Away

I am traveling down my road in life and as each day passes, the burden on my shoulders become heavier.  Even though I am a believer in Jesus Christ and truly believe the words of the Bible, the weight is becoming so heavy.  Each morning when I rise, it becomes harder to move and face a new day.  Each night before bed a prayer is said, but still the weight becomes heavier.

I feel like a tiny boat floating along in a stream at a slow pace.  The current is slow and time moves by so fast I don’t even realize I am floating away from the shore.  As each day passes, I drift farther away from my security of the shore.  As each day passes, the weight becomes so much more.  I know I am about to sink but still clueless as to what is happening.  I travel each day as if I am secure on the shore, but reality is, I have drifted away.

When reality hits, I am lost and confused.  How do I make it back to the shore?  Who do I turn to?  My eyes have become so foggy, I can’t see.  What is happening?  With one quick thought rushing through my head, I realize I have drifted away from my Savior and into my own will and not His will.  I am crushed with the guilt of not knowing I was drifting toward Satan and letting him guide me instead of God.  How do I become God’s child again?

With my last bit of strength, I knell down and pray.  “Oh Lord, my God, I have drifted away and become lost.  With my every action, I have slipped through your fingers.  Lord help me to rededicate my life to you and take your hands and pull me back to shore and keep me in your grasps.  Pull me away from Satan and free me of his corruption in my life.  Pluck me up out of these waters and place me back on dry ground.  Take these heavy burdens that have been laid upon my shoulders  since I have drifted away.  Forgive me for not knowing I was leaving you behind and not hearing your voice.  Please take my hand and lead me back to you.  Show me how to build my faith again and show me how to leave Satan behind me.  Help me to keep my sight set on you and you alone.  In Jesus’ name I pray for forgiveness, amen.” As I rise back to my feet, the world is clear and my burdens have become light.  A new found joy fills my life now, a feeling that I thought was lost.  All thanks for my new found happiness goes to my Savior, Jesus Christ for leading me back to Him.

Have you ever had a moment where you realize you have been drifting away for a long period of time and when it hits you, you are overwhelmed with emotions.  Your eye sight has returned and you can look back and see all that period of time you were drifting.  The weight of the world is a heavy burden to carry, and when you are drifting, the weight just becomes to heavy.  Jesus Christ can take all that burden away.  He carries our burden for us when we are God’s child.  Jesus said, “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  Be in God’s direct will and Jesus will lift the burden of the world from your shoulders.

Are You Searching?

What are you searching for?  Is it a new job so you can make more money?  Is it a new house or is it a new electronic device?  With this fast growing time, everybody is searching for something.  We look  for new jobs and new opportunities to better ourselves so we can afford the finer things in life.  We look for new technology so we can say we have one of those.  Through all of our searches, it is the same, something that will make us happy.

We have all said, “When I find ____, I’ll be the happiest person around.”  What is in your blank?  Do you really think it will make you happy?  Sure, when you find something you have been looking for, it will make you happy, but for how long?  Will it make you happy for one day, one week or even one year?  In this day and time, everything becomes out-dated in about 6 months.  There is always a newer version, or an upgrade that in the end, we start our search all over again to find the new item that will make us happy.

When you sit down and truly think about searching for happiness,  all of the above are just quick fixes.  They only make you happy for a short time, and then you search for a better item or a newer version and the cycle repeats over again.

Searching for happiness is not found in a store, but is found in the Bible.  Jesus Christ can give your search a new meaning and a powerful purpose.  When you search for Jesus and His plan for your life, it is a fulfillment in your life that has no comparison to the quick fixes.  When you think you are close to knowing His plan for you, He opens a new door and a new search begins.  It is an ever changing experience and with each new door opening a new fulfillment of happiness is laid upon your heart.  The more you search for Jesus, the more joy and happiness you will gain. When your time come to an end and you are face to face with God, to hear Jesus say, “This is my child and my blood paid the price for their sins, enter into the kingdom of Heaven.” your search will have come to a complete end and enternal happiness will be upon you.

So I ask again, what are you searching for? Eternal happiness or a quick and meaningless happiness that will eventually go away.

Living for Tomorrow

  • Posted on January 24, 2009 at 11:43 pm

In this fast pace world, we live for tomorrow.  We will say a lot of times, “Tomorrow we will….”.  What if tomorrow doesn’t come?  The list of all the things we plan to doing tomorrow will seem a mile long if we stop and think, “What if tomorrow never comes?”  What if I don’t get to spend quality time with my kids?  What if I don’t get to talk to my parents tomorrow?  What if I don’t get to study God’s word tomorrow?  Are you ready for today?

God doesn’t promise us tomorrow.  He knows how many years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds we will walk on this earth.  So, what if tomorrow never comes?  Could you face God eye to eye and say, “I lived every day as if it were my last.”  Could you say that you lived your life according to his plan and his will?  Could you say that you lived every day acheiving every possible moment to cherish?  Most of us can only answer that we lived for tomorrow that was never promised to us.  We lived every day wishing for tomorrow, hoping for tomorrow, wanting tomorrow to be better.  In reality, we did not see what wonderful days today could have been.  We miss all the moments that today can be filled with, joy and happiness, wishing for tomorrow.  We miss all the moments that we could just call and say “hi” to someone and brighten their day.  We miss too much of God’s wonderful plan for us looking ahead in time, instead of in this moment of time.

“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.” – Proverbs 27:1.   Living for tomorrow is not just all about us putting off the good things in life till tomorrow, but also the problems.  Each day we are faced a different set of challenges and problems.  We still stick with this fast pace world and put our problems off until tomorrow.  Each new day we are blessed with, we still have the problems from yesterday to deal with and the added problems of  today to deal with also.  Eventually,  our day becomes over run with all of the previous days problems, and then we don’t have enough time to do anything else, but to catch up on all our challenges and problems that we have put off until tomorrow.

The solution is: Live life like tomorrow will never come because we don’t know if today will be our last.  Live life to the fullest each and everyday God has given you.  Praise God every morning and thank Him for you being able to have another day.  Ask God to be your leader and to lead you where he wants you to go.  Spend time with family and friends even if it is just a phone call to say, “I love you and God bless you.”  The most important step is: Stop putting off till tomorrow, and do what you are called to do today.

Can You See Me?

Can you see me?  I’ve been by your side since the day you were conceived.  I was with you when you took your first breath and when you took your first step.  Have you seen my hand pointing you in the direction our heavenly Father has chosen for you?  My hand has pointed you down many paths, did you see me? Can you see my footprints? They have been by your side each and every day with every step you have taken, I have been here with you.  Can you see me?

Can you hear me?  I have whispered many things in your ear, did you hear my voice?  You may say you are  just talking to your self, but it is I who you are talking too and it is I who is answering you.  Some say it is just your conscience speaking in your head that you hear, but in truth, it is I who is telling you where to go and what you should do.   My words that I speak directly to you can only be heard by you.  Can you hear my words?

Can you feel my touch?  I have touched your shoulder just to remind you I am here ready to lead you in the direction you need to go.  With every heart beat in your chest and every breath you take, I am hear.  Did you feel my shoulder that you have cried on many nights?  When I wrap my arms around you so tight and held you close, did you feel my touch? It is the touch that tells you everything will be alright and everything will be brighter, just take my hand and I will lead you down your path.  Can you feel my touch?

Can you feel my heartbeat?  The Bible is the living word that my blood runs through.  The more you read the more you will feel my presence surrounding you.

Do you know who I am?  It is I, Jesus Christ.  The Son of God who died on the cross for your sins so that you may be able to enter the kingdom of heaven and be with my Father and myself for eternity.  The day you accept me into your life, you will see me by your side.  That day, you will be able to hear my every word that is spoken to you.  You will feel my touch upon your hand leading you down the narrow and righteous road that ends in heaven.  Give your life to me, and each day will be filled with my presence and guidance to lead you down the path God has planned for you.

Are You Thankful?

What are you thankful for?  Is it your family or friends?  Is it your job or house?  What would be at the top of your list?  We can write many things that we are thankful for but in this list we sometimes forget a very important part of our lives.  Our list mostly contains worldly things, but does it mention our Creator?  Are you truly thankful for the one and only God?  The person who created us, the person who gives us life day after day and the person who gives of the list of things to be thankful for.

Are you thankful for the sun rising? Are you thankful for the beautiful, sunny day or a rainy day?  Are you thankful for each breath you take and the stars and moon?  These things may seem small and foolish things to be thankful for, but these are some of the many blessings God gives us each and every day.  Sure it is nice to have a great paying job to be able to buy anything your heart desires, but all that money can’t buy God’s blessings and God’s wonders.  Yes, having that job is a blessing from God, but are you thankful to God for providing you with the talents to do the job?  Are you using this blessing to do God’s work?

It is easy to be thankful to God in good times, but are you truly thankful for the bad times?  Are you getting down on your knees and thanking God for the hard and difficult time you are going through?  This is very difficult to do, because you expect God to make everything good and happy.  You expect God to make your life easy, without any hard times.  If you believe this, you are living in a fantasy world.  There is no such thing as an easy life.  Look at the life of Jesus as he lived here on earth. His life was far from easy and He is the one and only son of God.  He is the only perfect person to live, but He had a difficult road to travel.  Yes, He could have made his path easy, but He knew his Father’s plan for him and changing it was not an option for Him.  Are you thankful for Jesus and the hard life he lived on earth to give us forgiveness and for us to be able to have a relationship with God?  Are you thankful for Jesus dying on the cross for our sins?

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”  Give thanks to the Lord our God for the sunrise, the sunset, the rain, or sunshine.  Give thanks to the Lord our God for each breath we take and each word we speak. Give thanks to the Lord our God for the abilities he has given us and the freedom to follow his word.  Give thanks to the Lord our God for the birds in the air and the flowers and trees, but most important, give thanks to the Lord our God for his wonderful and precious son, Jesus, for without him, we would not have a relationship the with our Father in heaven.

One Nation Under God

One Nation Under God has taken on a whole new meaning this day in time.  Thirty years ago, this statement was a proud and powerful statement.  Our nations was built on this simple saying.  Now it’s slowly changing and the nation is being driven away from God.  We who still believe in God and are followers of Christ are standing still and allowing our freedom of religion to be taken away and replaced with other religions or anti-Christ followers.  This nation is no longer one nation under God, but the devil’s workshop.  He is becoming more powerful and slowly breaking God’s connection with this country.

The media only reports the bad things that happen around the world.  They must report the bad side to every thing because that is what sells.  The media is strong and has a powerful influence over this nation. People want to believe what they say and show, therefore, they are influenced to follow them and it is safe to say the devil has his grasp on them.  All the negativity that is shown, no mention of God’s work or God’s grace can be found.

Now I am not talking about individual people but this nation as a whole.  Look at what happened when the devil won and had prayer taken out of schools.  You see more and more school shootings and it is getting to the point, you don’t want to send your children to school because you are scared there might be a shooting.  So you begin home schooling them and there is nothing wrong with protecting your children.  God protects his children and we must follow His example and protect our children.

Look at our court systems, people want to take out the ten commandments.  The ten commandments that our country was built on.  The commandments that our Lord God expects us to live by.  These commandments were not written for certain people to follow, but for everyone to follow.  I could image this nation if everyone believed and followed the commandments.  It would be a much greater place to live.  It wouldn’t be perfect, but you wouldn’t have all this hate and selfishness going one and the devil would not have such a strong hold on the US.  This nation is on a collision course to hell and this nation will break hell wide open if things don’t change.

Abortion is killing God’s creation.  God creates each of us and without Him, we would not be here.  God created the conception of a baby and when that life is created (at conception), then it is a life.  The ten commandments says thou shall not kill. It doesn’t say you can end the pregnancy before three months, it clearly says thou shall not kill.  God has a purpose for each life He creates and look at all of God’s work that has been taken away.

For those who believe in Jesus and follow his Word, God is watching over us.  He is with us and leading us where He wants us to be.  God knows what our future holds and He knows where this nation is headed.  Make sure your are on the path God has intended for you and you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, because when Jesus returns, God will protect his children, his followers.
