From the
Pastors Desk Summer has come and gone and
another school year has begun. The onset of fall and winter
are upon us. The demanding schedules of the school year often
wear us down and we simply think we do not have time for the
Church. This is a lie! Do not fall for
it. Sure, secular education is important but not so important
that we neglect the great salvation God has given to us through His son
Jesus. We should all strive to not let this happen in our life. Proverbs 4 tells us "give
attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.
21. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the
midst of your heart; 22. For they are life to those
who find them, and health to all their flesh. 23.
Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of
life." We are told in Deuteronomy
6:5. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your might. 6.
"And these words which I command you today shall be in your
heart; 7. "you shall teach them diligently to your
children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you
walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8. "You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they
shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9. "You
shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. As the pressures and
responsibilities of school build, keep your heart turned toward God and
lean not on your own understanding remember His words and He will make
your paths straight. May this school year be the best
one ever because you have followed the teachings of God Almighty As Moses said to Aaron, these
things I also pray for you that "The Lord bless you and keep you; the
Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; may the Lord
lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.'' ' "So they
shall put My name on the children of the nation, and I will bless
them.'' Psalms 33:12 Blessed is
the nation whose God is the Lord, And the people whom He has chosen as
His own inheritance. God be with you! Brother Eddie |
